Our Mission

H.O.M.E. Center provides outreach, mitigation, and emergency response in order to reduce houselessness to functional zero in Hays County

What does that mean?

Outreach: we strive to educate the community about homelessness and connect with our unhoused community members through community events and being present in the community.

Mitigation: we coordinate the resources in the community and make them more accessible to those in our care hoping to lessen the impact of homelessness.

Emergency: we rapidly respond in times of crisis with relief and homelessness prevention efforts.

H.O.M.E. also applies the belief of the “housing first” approach to homelessness which prioritizes finding permanent housing to end the homelessness cycle.
